Roadtrip 2025: Denmark

This years roadtrip went to Denmark, West Jylland, to be precise and the Swedish West Coast.

Day One:
Long driving day from Stockholm to Falkenberg through some really bad weather and Camping at Ugglarps Camping. Fortunately the bad weather stayed inland and we got an perfect night.
We also got to try out the new car tent from Vevor (Affiliate Link: https://amzn.to/44YkSht) that’s much bigger than my old Tailgate tent and it’s big enough to stand up straight inside.

Day Two:
After breakfast with perfect presso (Affiliate link: https://amzn.to/3IK9JJP) we hit the roads again.
After another long driving day through Denmark to get to the West Coast of Jylland where we visited Esbjerg, Blåvand and Vejers Strand where we found a really nice Camping called Vejers Strand Camping.
A windy but beautiful sunset by the Sea before nighttime.
To get the car dark we used blackouts from Amazon (Affiliate Link: https://amzn.to/4f2ImH8). They are super easy to setup with their suction cups and folds down to a small flat bag to stove away.

Day Three:
We left the coast and drove to Billund and Lego House.
After the museum we took the roads and made it to Vorupør where we stayed at Vorupør/Strandgaardens Camping.

Day Four:
Our goal was Smøgen to see where the two seas meet and creates wild waves. Unfortunately the weather was really good so the waves weren’t really there.
But on the way there we stopped at Bulbjerg Knude, which is a huger cliff formation slowly decending to the sea. We also stopped at Løkken Bilstrand where we could drive the car out on the beach.

Day Five:
We took the Ferry back to Sweden and Gothenburg were we took the roads to Smögen.

Day Six:
Tired and the last day on our trip we drove to my childhood summer place in Gårda Brygga, Åsa.
Lots of wonderful childhood memories!
Then we visited the sensation Ullared on our way back to Stockholm.

To sum up.
This is my first longer roadtrip with an electric car. There was no ques, no extra fees or anything at the chargers. The car counted for how many stops and how long stops to get to the destination.
Since we used Camp Mode in the Tesla we wanted to have atleast 70% when we got to the camping. Camp Mode used about 8-9% each night, so we had plenty of energy to get to the next site before needing to fill up.

This is my first blogpost with affiliate links, if you press them and do a purchase I will get a small kickback (it’s not much but helps this site to live on).

Carcamping, some of the most beautiful scenery I’ve seen, a tour in the mines and a walk that was a bit more work than we expected but well worth it!
